Anafonitria

The Monastery of Anafonitria from which the nearby village takes its name was built in 14th century. This is where St Dionysios, patron saint of the island, spent the last years of his life.

Anafonitria

Anafonitria is 30km from Zante Town - near to Porto Vromi and the shipwreck

The village is also where the patron saint of Kefalonia Agios Gerasimos lived as a recluse.
