Three villages constitute this main population area in the north of Zakynthos -

Ano (upper) Volimes,

Meso (middle) Volimes and

Kato (lower) Volimes.

















Volimes is famous for its cheese, honey and handicrafts, particularly ceramics and textiles.


















Often the final destination on an organised island tour, it is well worth visiting the village's church, Agia Paraskevi with its beautiful icons and frescoes.
